Conversation Cards: A Different Voice for Each Character

CardsPublished November 5, 2026 · 2 min read

A joke, a small story or a funny chat reads better when each person speaks in their own voice. Write your message as a conversation and ShareGreet does the rest.

How to write it

Start each line with the name and a colon, one person after another:

You can also write the name between stars, like *Zoe:*, the way you would in a chat. The stars never appear on the card and are never read out loud.

What the card does

Turn the AI voice on

Conversation voices need the AI voice option in the card maker. The builder shows a short hint when you type a chat. With the voice off, you still get a clean card, just without the speaking.

Ideas to try

Not sure what to write? Let ShareGreet help you write it in your language, then add the names.

Frequently asked questions

How do I write a conversation on a card?

Start each line with the person's name and a colon, such as Zoe: Hello. You can also put the name between stars.

Do the stars show or get read?

No. They are removed from the card and from the voice.

Does each character really have a different voice?

Yes. Each person gets their own voice, and names like Mom or Dad help it pick a woman's or a man's.

Can I put faces on the characters?

Yes. Add a photo for a person and their face shows beside their line.

Do I need AI voice?

To hear the voices, yes. Without it you get the same card without speaking.
