Replace a Character in a Video With AI: Swap a Person for a Pet, Toy or Cartoon
FeaturesPublished November 1, 2026 · 2 min read
Imagine your own video, with your room, your timing and your music, but the person in it is now your dog. Or a cartoon girl. Or a teddy bear. That is Replace anyone or anything: you keep the video and swap who is in it for something from a picture.
What you can swap in
Your pet or any animal: a dog, a cat, a parrot, a cartoon animal
A made-up or cartoon character from a picture
A toy or an object with a clear shape
A person, if the picture is yours or you have the right to use it
What stays: the room, the moves, the timing and the original sound.
A real example: a dog takes the dance floor
We took a 15-second video of a girl dancing in a grey room and a picture of a dog. The result: the dog did the same dance, with the same timing, in the same room, and the original sound stayed. It cost 45 credits and took about 15 minutes.
How to do it
Open Create, go to the AI Video tab and tap Replace anyone or anything.
Pick your video: 3 to 15 seconds, with one clear subject who moves.
Choose the picture of what goes in. A full picture showing the character from head to feet or paws works best.
Confirm that the video and the picture are yours or that you have the right to use them, then tap Make.
Leave the app. A tile marked Generating appears in your Profile and you are told when it is ready.
3 credits for every second, so 45 credits for 15 seconds. You see the price first.
About 10 to 15 minutes.
Videos longer than 15 seconds are refused with a message, so trim first.
Pictures that are not family-friendly, photos of children and well-known real people are refused.
If a video cannot be made, your credits come back.
