Cine Drama: Make a Short Drama Episode With the Same Two People Every Time
Short dramas keep people watching because every episode ends on a hook. Drama series in ShareGreet is our test of that idea: you write the start of a story, and it makes a short, real-looking episode with the same two people and a cliffhanger at the end.
Drama series is in beta, for accounts we have switched on. It is the newest format and the one we are still learning from.
What an episode is
- Six to ten short scenes, about three seconds each, so an episode runs from about 20 to 35 seconds.
- One place and two characters with clearly different voices, and a few short lines in your story region's language.
- A hook in the first scene and a twist or cliffhanger in the last.
- Local first names for the characters, so a story set in India does not get a stranger's name from another country.
How to make one
- Open Create, tap Create a video and choose Drama series.
- Write the start: two people, one place, a secret or a conflict. A short idea is fine, because ShareGreet expands it into a brief.
- Read the script. It is free to read and change.
- Tap Make my episode. It takes about eight minutes.
- When it is ready, open it and tap Next episode. The same two people come back, and you tell us what happens next.
What it costs, and what to expect
- Three credits for each second, so a 30 second episode uses about 90. If it fails, your credits come back.
- The look is real-looking people, drawn as pictures first and then animated.
- It is not perfect. Faces and clothes stay close, but a body can look odd in a wide shot, and the two voices can sound alike. We check every scene and redo the ones that fail, and we are improving it.
- Episodes are short for now. Longer episodes need more time than a single job allows, so we are working on that.
Prefer a more playful look? Try pop art animated reels, or a story reel in 3D, clay or watercolor.
